Introduction
This index is part of a series aimed to assist family historians in researching ancestors who lived in Singleton and the surrounding district. It consists of a database made up of entries from the burial register for the Anglican Parish of Singleton. The data was extracted from a photocopy of the register and extracts held by the Family History Society of Singleton and entered into a Microsoft Access database. The data has then been sorted and grouped by surname.
Whilst the abbreviation ‘ne’ in this work indicates that there is no entry in the extract it does not necessarily mean that there is no entry in the original material. It is possible that the original entry is indecipherable.
Whilst the aim is to provide a useful index of local residents it not impossible that there have been omissions and possible errors in the transcription of the data. The absence of a person from the database does not necessarily imply absence from the original data. If in doubt researchers should consult the original register.
Follow this link for the data which contains the details of 326 internments.
